èssenziale is Tuscan territory, circular economy and respect for the environment, all this for the well-being of those who discover our products. It stems from the idea of its founder, Claudio Gori, who approaches medicinal plants and distillation with curiosity and passion, bringing to the transformation processes all the know-how acquired from his thirty years of experience in the viticulture field.
The gaze spans across the hills of Tuscany, in an environment of elevated naturalistic value, settling in San Donato in Poggio (Florence), in the Chianti Classico area, a magnificent and unique hilly territory, where the soils are of clay-schist origin, better known as “galestro”. Here, the éssenziale estate has transferred its expertise in medicinal plants from which it derives natural cosmetics and food products through a transformation process.
We are at 360 meters above sea level, surrounded by woods and vineyards, where the mild winter favors a gentler growth of the plants we will distill. Plants that develop floral and fragrant aromatic matrices endowed with significant freshness.
For some years now, we have been collaborating with producers from Cecina and Alberese, who cultivate pink geranium and highly fragrant helichrysum, plants that typically grow in a mild climate and do not tolerate the winter cold of the hills well. We provide our partner producers with the right technical support to maintain an eco-sustainable quality product.
The scarce rainfall and the heat of the summer months often require drawing water from the natural springs of our area, the same water we use to distill the medicinal products and cool our processing plants.
